Hello there!

Thank you for stopping by. This is a new endeavor of a lifelong calling, perhaps. This space will become a resource for real life stories, understanding, maybe some laughter, and out-of-box thinking. A slight bit of woo-woo may be mixed in, too.

I hope to share not only the “highlight reel” moments of life, but, also, the really hard, muddy pits that we all fall into occasionally. Those parts of our stories and how we come back from them may be the most important.

So, as a little teaser….

We are growing SIX kids over here! Our household is female heavy with five daughters. We are raising babies and livestock of all kinds. We focus mainly on pasture raised pigs, at the moment. But, I (the mom) want to expand into sheep. I really feel highly pulled into sheep. I haven’t figured out that calling quite yet, but it keeps coming up.

We’ve had chickens and ducks for several years. We built an amazingly beautiful coop at our old house. It housed the most beautiful flock of Fluffy Butts ever. Unfortunately, the coop and the fluffies didn’t make it to our new home. We are starting over on that front. It is a rebuilding of sorts. Not unlike some other major parts of our lives.

We will get into all of the things in the blog. I assure you, I am not here to sugarcoat or gloss over any of the hardest, muddiest, sad, heartbreaking moments. I’ve had lots of those, too. This is going to be a sort of healing journey for me…hopefully. I believe all of our stories hold hope. They hold hope and healing not only for ourselves, but for others. We have to tell our stories in order to pass along that hope. We have to speak up and speak out to help others. I know how lonely it is to go through your hardest, darkest days alone, surrounded by little kids, holding it together, pretending to be ok. I know how that feels and I do not want anyone else to ever feel that alone. So, we are going to share…all of it.

This is going to take awhile to build. And, build we will.
